India’s star leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has revealed the names of whom he would like to target for his dream hat-trick. Yuzvendra Chahal, playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.
The star leg-spinner named former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain and teammate Virat Kohli and current India captain Rohit Sharma as his top two picks, and said that if AB de Villiers was playing at the moment, he is the other batsman he would like to include in his dream hat-trick.
Yuzvendra Chahal took his maiden hat-trick in IPL 2022 earlier this month and ended his spell with a five-wicket haul against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Speaking to ESPNcricinfo, when asked who would be the victim for his dream hat-trick, Yuzvendra Chahal replied, “There will be one Virat Bhaiya, Rohit Bhaiya and then I would definitely like to take the wicket of AB Sir, if he’s playing.”
Yuzvendra Chahal celebrated taking five wickets against KKR in a unique way. He had copied his pose that went viral during the 2019 World Cup. However, the spinner denied that he plans to surprise the fans with a new celebration for a hat-trick or fifer in the upcoming IPL 2022 matches.
He further added, “No, I will continue with what I am doing now. Because that meme is very close to me. I will not slide. That meme is in a relaxed state for me. So I will just go and sit comfortably.”
Let us tell you, Yuzvendra Chahal is currently the joint highest wicket-taker in IPL 2022, as he has taken 24 wickets in 13 matches.
