Former Indian cricketer Vinoo Mankad is the very first Indian cricketer who have scored more than 150 runs and then took a fifer. It was way back in 1952 when India played against West Indies. Mankad scored a brilliant 184 runs in India’s 2nd inning. He also took 5 wickets for 72 runs in the first inning. However, his all efforts were in vain as India couldn’t beat the hosts.
The 2nd player in the list is Polly Umrigar who is also the 2nd ever Indian player to achie the feat. He did so back in the year 1962 when Indian cricket team played against West Indies cricket team at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad. Polly played an unbeaten inning of 172 runs and also took a five-wicket haul.
