Pakistan vs Australia 1994

In October 1994, the first match of the three match Test series between Australia and Pakistan was played in Karachi. Batting first after winning the toss, the visiting team scored 337 runs in the first innings. In reply, the Pakistani team scored 256 runs in the second innings of the match and Australia took an 81-run lead.

Australia were bundled out for 232 runs in their second innings. Pakistan had got a target of 314 runs in the fourth innings to win this match, which the hosts achieved with one wicket remaining thanks to half-centuries from Saeed Anwar (77 runs) and Inzamam-ul-Haq (58 runs not out).

Sri Lanka vs Pakistan 2022

In the fourth innings of the Test match played against Sri Lanka in July 2022, the Pakistani team created history by achieving the target of 342 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. In this match played in Galle, Sri Lanka, batting first, scored 222 runs in the first innings.

In reply, the Pakistan team was all out for 218 runs in their first innings. In the third innings of the match, the hosts added 337 runs and set the visitors a target of 342 runs in the fourth innings to win the match, which the Pakistani team achieved with four wickets remaining.

Sri Lanka vs Pakistan 2015

Pakistan had successfully chased the biggest target in Tests while playing against Sri Lanka in 2015. Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 278 runs in their first innings in this Test match played at Pallekele Cricket Stadium in 2015. In reply, Pakistan team led by Misbah-ul-Haq could only manage 215 runs in their first inning.

Sri Lanka took a 63-run lead in the first innings and the hosts scored 313 runs in the third innings of the match, setting Pakistan a massive target of 377 runs in the fourth innings to win. It was a great performance by the Pakistan batsmen during the second innings. Opening batting Shan Masood (125 runs) and Younis Khan (171 runs not out) scored centuries as Pakistan achieved the target for the loss of 3 wickets.
