It was Philip Salt who took the RCB bowlers to the cleaners. He ended up with an 87 off 45 at a strike rate of 193.33, and DC chased down the target of 187/3 in just 16.4 overs. Virat also scored a good inning of 55 off 46 in the first inning.

In the latest video uploaded by the Chennai franchise from the CSK dressing room, skipper MS Dhoni was heard talking about the former RCB captain’s batting style. MSD said, “Virat doesn’t play the first ball like this. It is always here.”

That video went viral on social media platforms in a short span of time. In the CSK locker room, MSD was talking about how Virat plays the first ball of the match, and it went viral.

Notably, it was the homecoming for the former RCB skipper in Delhi, and he made it more special with his sixth half-century of the IPL 2023. With this, he also became the first Indian batter to complete 50 half-centuries in the IPL and also 7000 IPL runs.

Virat is the only player to touch the 7000-run mark in the competition. He has scored 7043 runs in 225 innings at an average of 36.68 and a strike rate of 129.49. He has also scored five centuries and 50 half-centuries, with a best of 113. Virat will be back in action on Tuesday against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.
