“If I was an England fan” – Wasim Jaffer gives a befitting reply to England’s Barmy Army for comparing Ashes series with India vs Pakistan

Pakistan got their turn in the India vs Pakistan rivalry as they managed to beat Team India in the 2nd encounter between both the teams in the Asia Cup 2022. Meanwhile, after the match, England cricket team’s fans group called Barmy Army posted a comparison post and called Ashes better than India vs Pakistan match.

India vs Pakistan in not only the biggest cricket rivalry, but also the biggest sporting rivalry. This is the match where no team’s fan would want their team to lose the match in any case.

India Pakistan rivalry resumed in the Asia Cup 2022 after Pakistan last managed to beat India by 10 wickets in the T20 World Cup 2021. So far, a total of two matches between India and Pakistan have been played in Asia Cup 2022 and both team’s have won one apiece.

The most recent match between the two teams took place on the 4th of September at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium where Pakistan managed to win the match by 5 wickets in a last over thriller.

Every fans who were present in stadium and those who were watching from their house in their TV or Mobile screen, did not knew the outcome till Pakistan got the better of India with a ball remaining.

Meanwhile, England cricket team’s fans group the Barmy Army ignited fire among fans as they compared Ashes series between England and Australia better than the India Pakistan match.

However, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer tweeted something that shut them down. Replying to the post, Jaffer posted, “If I was an England fan, with the Ashes record England has, Iā€™d downplay the Ashes if anything.”

Here, Jaffer’s indication is towards how bad England has been in the last couple of Ashes series. England team have not won any Ashes series since their last win in the year 2015.
