David Warner is set to make his return to the cricket field in the second phase of IPL 2021. Warner will represent the Sunrisers Hyderabad team. After the second phase of IPL 2021, the left-handed batsman will play for the Australian cricket team in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
Unfortunately, the popular Australian cricketer lost his position as captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad earlier this year. Warner could not perform his best with the willow. The other SRH batters could not contribute as per the expectations also. As a result, SRH currently is in the last position on the standings.
David and co. will be keen to improve their team’s position. But before IPL 2021 resumes, the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Australian batsman engaged in a banter with England’s Barmy Army. Many cricket fans would know that the England cricket team will visit Australia later this year. The two rivals will compete in Ashes 2021, which is a part of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 as well.
Recently, Instagram suggested Barmy Army to follow David Warner on the platform. Instead of ignoring him privately, Barmy Army wished to share it with their fans on Twitter. Posting a screenshot of the notification, Barmy Army wrote:
“Lol no thanks,” they also tagged the Twitter profile of David Warner. Soon, the Australian batsmen replied to Barmy Army in the following manner:
Will Warner regain his place in the SRH playing XI later this year?
IPL 2021 will resume in the UAE on September 19, 2021. The Sunrisers Hyderabad reached the playoffs under David’s captaincy last year at this venue.
The Australian star led his team from the front. Since he is a top-quality player, SRH team management should give the southpaw one more chance to prove himself.
