Royal Challengers Bangalore recorded a convincing win over the Mumbai Indians on Saturday, in the match number 18 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 as Anuj Rawat and Virat Kohli led the charge for the Bangalore based franchise.
Royal Challengers Bangalore were chasing a target of 152 runs after Mumbai Indians struggled, but because of Suryakumar Yadav, managed to put 151 runs on the board.
Anuj Rawat played the main role while chasing the target, but had good company of former RCB and India captain Virat Kohli. But unfortunately, Virat missed out on his half-century after he was dismissed by Dewald Brevis, also nicknamed after Virat’s best friend AB de Villiers.
A flighted ball from Dewald Brevis went on to hit with Virat’s bat and pad simultaneously, but on-field umpire gave Virat out, who then starightaway took DRS and was full of confident that he was not out.
However, the third umpire failed to find any evidence of the ball hitting the bat and decided to continue with on-field umpire’s decision of out. After that, when the camera rolled onto Virat Kohli, he was absolutely frustrated with the decision, was shouting loud and hit the ground with the bat.

He kept on shouting while heading towards the pavilion. He was dismissed for 48 runs, missing out on the fifty by just 2 runs. But in the end, there was no problem for RCB, who chased down the target very comfortably with 7 wickets still remaining in hand.
However, the dismissal of Virat Kohli will remain a big talking point from yesterday’s match, a video of which is viral on the internet. You can watch the video below.
