Do you remember the Indian youngster named Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was the leading run scorer for the Indian U19 team in the 2020 U19 Cricket World Cup.
After being out of spotlight for the last couple of years after his exploits in the U19 Cricket World Cup in 2020, Jaiswal is finally making some waves in the Indian domestic cricket scenes with his brilliant performance.
Jaiswal is currently taking part in the ongoing Irani Cup, the 5 day Domestic Cup match that is played between the Ranji Trophy 2020-2021 winners Madhya Pradesh and the Rest of India.
Jaiswal is representing the Rest of India squad in the match. And boy he is having a match. While batting at number 3, though mainly he is a opener, he scored a brilliant double hundred in the 1st inning, helping Rest of India post 484 runs on the board.
And he back with a bang in the 3rd inning as well, as he is as of writing this, is batting on 117 runs in 116 balls, trying to set a match winning target.
Yashasvi Jaiswal rose to fame with humongous performance in the U19 World Cup in 2020 where the Indian team lost the final to Bangladesh. He was then picked by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL Auction 2020 and has since been a part of the team.
Meanwhile, his performance in the Irani Cup is giving the fans huge faith about the player’s potential and the probability of having him open the inning for Team India alongside Shubman Gill one day.
