While the T20 World Cup 2022 is currently on in Australia, but people in India have been engaged with IPL related stuff for the last 24 to 48 hours as news and rumours are spreading ahead of IPL 2023 Player Auction to be held in December.
As various reports, each and every franchise have time till the 15th of November to submit the list of their retained and released player to the BCCI. And as of writing this, teams are currently dwelling over whom to release and whom to continue with.
Amid that, reports have emerged that Ben Stokes, who skipped IPL 2022 to focus on his International career, is set to be back in the auction this year and so is Sam Curran, who skipper IPL 2022 due to injury. Meanwhile, new Australian sensation Cameron Green, who got the spotlight when Australia played India before World Cup, is also set to put his name in the hat.
While the IPL 2023 Auction was supposed to be a mini auction with teams looking to strengthen their weakness, the addition of players like Ben Stokes, Sam Curran and Cameron Green is certain to light up the auction. Twitterati also thinks the same.
