Going into the T20 World Cup 2022, every Indian cricket fans had a question in their mind, with Jasprit Bumrah out injured, who will bowl in the death overs for the Indian team. It seems India now have a answer in the form of Bumrah’s replacement pacer Mohammed Shami.
Shami just landed in Australia a couple of days back when he was announced the injury replacement for injured pacer Jasprit Bumrah. He took to the field in the warm-up match against Australia today.
In a good cricket battle between India and Australia, the latter were destined for victory in Brisbane, until Harshal Patel bowled an wonderful 19th over where he got 2 wickets, for including of Aaron Finch.
However, Australia were still in the match needing just 11 runs from the last over. Shami, who was yet to bowl a over in the match, stepped-up for the final over and gave only 4 runs in the first 2 balls and then displayed his skills and took 4 wickets in 4 balls, however, one of them was a run-out, as such, no hat-trick for the Indian pacer.
However, Shami’s performance has given the Indian team fans some hope heading into their first match of the World Cup against Pakistan on the 23rd October.
SHAMI was India’s show stopper @MdShami11 – destiny perhaps! #INDvsAUS
