After an early blow in the form of Virat Kohli, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s skipper Faf du Plessis played a brilliant inning to take his team’s total to 192 runs, playing an unbeaten inning of 73 runs.
Match number 54 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is being played today between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
It was Bangalore skipper Faf du Plessis who won the toss and opted to bat first. However, Virat Kohli’s poor run of form in the competition continued as he was dismissed for Golden Duck, that is third time this season.
However, Faf du Plessis and Rajat Patidar then added a solid partnership of 105 runs before the latter was dismissed for 48 runs. However, Faf then joined hands with Glenn Maxwell, who also played a cameo of 33 runs before was dismissed.
But, while all these were going on, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis still remained on the pitch and completed his half-century. He finished off the inning scoring a not out 73 runs from 50 balls.
Faf has been in great form since the last year’s IPL 2021, and Twitterati also admired the batsman’s performance.

Doesn’t matter what Faf Du Plessis does, he’s not going to the World Cup, at least not as a player, is he?

If Kohli is going on 0 and RCB is finishing with 192 , then something is changed …definitely ! #SRHvRCB #dk #FafDuPlessis #ipl2022
