Match number 7 of the 7th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 saw Singapore batsman Tim David take a stunner on the boundary line to help his team Multan Sultans win a thriller.
The matches of the 7th of edition of Pakistan Super League 2022 so far has all been very exciting, with most of the matches ending in a close call or a thriller of a situation.
The same was the story in the most recent match of the tournament with Multan Sultans registering a last over win over the Quetta Gladiators, thanks to a brilliant catch on the boundary line by Tim David.
Batting first, Multan Sultans put up 174 runs on the board, all thanks to a brilliant batting display at the top order from Shan Masood, who scored 88 runs from 58 balls. Down the order, the Singapore international batsman Tim David gave it the hard-hitting finish, scoring 28 runs from 16 balls, which consists of 1 four and 2 sixes.
After losing 2 wickets early in the powerplay, Quetta Gladiators managed to recover well from 29 runs for 2 wickets to 97 runs. But that’s where the real trouble began for Quetta Gladiators, losing 2 consecutive wickets of Ben Duckett and Ashir Qureshi.
They kept on losing wickets on each intervals, and at the end, they were required 8 runs from 6 balls, with 2 wickets in hand, with Sohail Tanvir and Naseem Shah at the crease.
David Willy, who was bowling the final over, managed to start the over with 2 dot balls, before getting the wicket of Sohail Tanvir.
Now Quetta needed 7 runs from 2 balls and that’s when Naseem Shah went big. It was looking likely to go for a Six, but Tim David on the boundary line did well, juggled, and took a stunning catch to dismiss the Quetta Gladiators team.
