Rajasthan Royals once again displayed brilliant performance with the ball while defending the total as they beat the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a crucial match to go top of the IPL 2023 points table.
The match number 37 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 was played today between the hosts Rajasthan Royals and the Chennai Super Kings.
Batting first, Rajasthan Royals scored 202 runs for the loss of 5 wickets with massive contributions from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel.
Chasing the target, CSK’s opening duo added 42 runs before losing the first wicket of Devon Conway, who scored only 8 runs. Gaikwad also departed soon after scoring 47 runs.
All hell broke loose for CSK then as they further lost Ajinkya Rahane and Ambati Rayudu’s wicket. Shivam Dube once again played well, however, he didn’t get the proper connection with the ball all the time and eventually couldn’t do anything and CSK lost match.
While Dube was struggling to hit big boundaries, his partner Ravindra Jadeja also struggled and contribute much as he scored 23 runs in 15 balls and the fans were seen to be disappointed with him and wanted MS Dhoni should have come ahead of him.
