Match number 23 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season has began as bottom placed Mumbai Indians looks to register their first win of the campaign.
Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians is now currently the only team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season, who is still without a win and would like to break that record as they takes on Punjab Kings in match number 23 of the IPL 2022 in Pune’s Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
It is Rohit Sharma who won the toss and opted to field first considering all the due factors. They made only one change into their Playing XI, bringing in Tymal Mills for Ramandeep Singh.
However, the fans were expecting a comeback into the Playing XI for their 8.25 crore worth player Tim David, for whom they had to fend off a tough fight from Kolkata Knight Riders in Mega Auction to get his services.
However, it has not been a great start to his journey in the competition. He played only 2 matches and scored only 13 runs, with 12 being his highest score in the tournament so far. He didn’t even had the luck last year as well playing for RCB, playing only once.
However, the exclusion of Tim David from Mumbai Indians’ Playing XI has disturbed the fans a little bit and they feel that he deserved another opportunity. Check-out how Twitter reacted.

Such a dynamic player deserves ample chances before being written off. He is playing in the middle order & shouldn't be hard looked early in the season.

Rohit's captaincy/Mi management has been working horribly this season. I Can't understand why they are not playing Tim David and they are not even reading the match ups properly. They had a Bad Auction and they're suffering now.
