The India vs Bangladesh match last night at the Adelaide Oval as part of the T20 World Cup 2022 ended in quite a fashion as the Indian team won the match by 5 runs via DLS method after rain interrupted during the 2nd inning.
After winning the toss, Shakib Al Hasan opted to bowl first against India. Team India out 184 runs on the board thanks to fifties from KL Rahul and Virat Kohli.
Chasing the target, Liton Das gave Bangladesh a flying start as they scored 60 runs in powerplay. But the rain interrupted the play after the powerplay. The match resumed with the overs reduced to 16 overs and a revised target of 151 for Bangladesh.
However, Bangladesh lost their momentum and kept on losing wickets and in the end, they couldn’t make it over the boundary line and lost the match by 5 runs.
While India won the match thanks to the bowlers for their excellent piece of bowling after the rain, there is another person deserve a huge rounds of applauds. And that is none other than Indian team’s throwball coach Raghu who was around the ground polishing the Indian fielders’ shoes so that don’t slip while fielding as the outfield was still not dried enough.
