The whole world have been left astonished as the first Test match between hosts Australia and South Africa at the Gabba has just ended in less than 2 days time, or rather a day and a half’s time.
The match began on the 17th of December with South Africa batting first. But the Proteas were all-out for just 152 runs in day 1 itself. Meanwhile Australia couldn’t add big as well as they were all out for 218 runs.
The 2nd inning was even worse for South Africa as they could only score 99 runs that setup a target of 34 runs. Australia did lose 4 wickets while chasing the target, however, the target was too easy to not chase down and in the end, Australia won the match by 6 wickets.
Meanwhile Twitter couldn’t believe what they witnessed. Many even added that the match started after the India vs Bangladesh match started and had Bangladesh a little more on Day 5, the Australia vs South Africa match could have ended before Bangladesh vs India had ended.
Gabba Test, started yesterday, could have ended before BAN v IND had Bangladesh stayed a little more. 🫂

142 overs and not even lasting 2 days and they have the audacity to lecture on what kind of pitches are needed. Had it happened in India, it would have been labelled end of test cricket, ruining test cricket and what not. The Hypocrisy is mind-boggling . #AUSvSA
