England have been crowned the 2022 T20 World Champions after they beat Pakistan in the final while chasing 138 runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
Batting first in the match, Pakistan scored only 137 runs with a brilliant bowling effort from Adil Rashid, Sam Curran and Ben Stokes. The latter of them also led England over the line as he scored a fifty to guide England to victory.
Meanwhile, Sam Curran was named the Player of the Match for his 3 wickets in the match. He was also named the Player of the Tournament for taking 13 wickets in the match.
Meanwhile, Indian fans aren’t happy that Virat Kohli was not awarded with the Player of the Tournament. Kohli finished as the highest run scorer in the tournament as he scored 296 runs from 6 matches. Meanwhile Sam Curran finished as the 2nd highest wicket-taker with 13 wickets while Wanindu Hasaranga finished 1st but had some wickets from the round 1 as well.
