After a bad start to the tournament, Mumbai Indians have now won 3 matches in a row in the IPL 2023 as they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in the match number 25 of the IPL 2023.
Batting first, thanks to some brilliant batting display from Cameron Green and Tilak Varma, Mumbai Indians put 192 runs on the board.
Cameron Green scored 64 runs while Tilak Varma played a spectacular inning of 37 runs in 17 balls.
Chasing the target, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost 4 wickets for 72 runs. It looked like all over for them, but then Mayank Agarwal and Heinrich Klaasen brought the team back into the match.
Hyderabad needed 20 runs in the final over to win the match. The over was bowled by Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar, who gave away just 5 runs that also included a wide and a bye. In the match, Arjun bowled 2.5 overs and gave away 18 runs for 1 wicket.
Arjun has been a part of the franchise since the year 2021 and but made his debut in the previous match against KKR. He also got his first IPL wicket, that was Hyderabad’s last wicket in the match as Mumbai won by 14 runs. People on Twitter praised Arjun for his bowling.
