Twitter reacts after New Zealand do not review surprising LBW decision in 15 seconds

The first match of the ICC World Test Championship series between the Indian cricket team and the New Zealand cricket team is currently happening. The Indian cricket team won the toss and elected to bat first at Green Park in Kanpur. In Virat Kohli’s absence, Shreyas Iyer got an opportunity to make his Test debut. The right-handed batter impressed straightaway and scored a century in the first innings.

His century helped the Indian cricket team cross the 300-run mark. Ravindra Jadeja and Shubman Gill scored a fifty for the Indian cricket team. Tim Southee took a five-wicket haul as New Zealand bowled the Indian cricket team out for 345 runs. In their first innings, the Blackcaps started off brilliantly, and the duo of Tom Latham and Will Young stitched up a partnership of 151 runs for the first wicket.

Ravichandran Ashwin ended that stand and after that Axar Patel took a five-wicket haul to give the Indian cricket team a vital first-innings lead. The Indian cricket team scored 234 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the second innings, with Iyer scoring a half-century and Wriddhiman Saha returning to form with a fifty.

New Zealand lost the wicket of Will Young early in the second innings

India bowled four overs in the fourth day, and in those 24 deliveries, New Zealand lost their opener Will Young. The right-handed batter looked impressive in the first innings, but Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed him LBW in the second innings.

Afterwards, replay showed that the ball was not even hitting the stumps. New Zealand asked for a review but it was 15 seconds later, hence the umpires did not allow them. Here’s how Twitterati reacted to that incident:
