Pakistan cricket team’s middle-order batsman Sohaib Maqsood has spoken on the reason behind Pakistan’s poor result against arch-rival India in the World Cup events.
With the Indian team and the Pakistan team set take on each other in their opening match of the Asia Cup 2022 on 28th August, the excitement is already building around. And not even that, both India and Pakistan could facing off each other a total of 5 times in the span of 3 months.
While India and Pakistan will be playing a minimum of 2 matches in the Asia Cup, also a third likely if they reach the final, and then a minimum of 1 match in the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
Meanwhile, speaking on Pakistan’s terrible record against India in the World Cup events, Pakistan cricket team’s middle-order batsman Sohaib Maqsood pointed out the reason behind their failure.
He said that whenever it comes to India vs Pakistan, the team becomes overexcited which has cost them a lot of matches against India. “The reason for the green shirts’ consistent defeat against India in World Cup matches is because the Pakistani team became overexcited,” the 35-years-old stated to a local media.
However, he added that now the team is treating the matches against India as normal as possible and it has brought result for them.
For those who are unaware of it, Team India has a 12-1 record against Pakistan in the World Cup events (T20 World Cup and 50 overs World Cup). The only win for Pakistan came last year when they dominated India in the T20 World Cup 2021 and won the match by 10 wickets.
