Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has today announced a jam-packed schedule for the upcoming England cricket team’s tour of Pakistan in between September and December this year.
The series between the hosts Pakistan cricket team and the England cricket team will commence on the 20th of September with 7 T20I matches scheduled between September 20th and till 2nd of October.
Now, there will be a small break in the series due to the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 that is to be played between October and November. The T20 World Cup will be played between 16th October till 13th of November.
However, after the T20 World Cup, England will also play Australia in a limited overs series that will be played alongside the T20 World Cup, however there might chances in the schedule of that.
The 2nd part of England team’s tour of Pakistan will resume in December with the 3 match Test series. The Ben Stokes led England team will play 3 Tests against the hosts starting from the 1st of December.
The first match of the Test series will be played 1st to 5th December in Rawalpindi, while the remaining two matches will be played on the 9th to 13th and 17th to 21st of December in Multan and Karachi respectively.
Talking about the both the teams, both England and Pakistan are currently very busy prior to the T20 World Cup in Australia. Pakistan team just wrapped off a 3-0 ODI series win against the hosts Netherlands and is now preparing to take part in the Asia Cup, meanwhile England is currently playing against South Africa in a 3 match Test series, of which, South Africa won the 1st match by an innings.
