“He is a match-winner” – Pakistan head coach Saqlain Mushtaq names player to watch out for vs WI

The Pakistan cricket team is set to take on the mighty West Indies cricket team in a 3 match One Day International in their next assignment and head coach Saqlain Mushtaq has named a player to keep an eye on.

Pakistan cricket team team will resume its series that began last year against West Indies, which had to be halted due COVID-19. By the time the series was suspended, Pakistan had completed a T20I series clean sweep against the Caribbeans.

Now the West Indies team, led by Nicholas Pooran has arrived in Pakistan to complete its incomplete series. Both the teams have announced their squad. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s head coach Saqlain Mushtaq has backed Hasan Ali to do well in the series.

Hasan Ali has received criticism and backlash from the Pakistan team fans. However, he has been included into the team for the series. Mushtaq has called Hasan a match winner and added that he was fatigued and is now fully ready.

Saqlain Mushtaq was quoted by Cricket Pakistan as saying, “Hasan is a match-winning player and he has proved it with his performances. He was a little fatigued but now he is fresh.”

He further added in his statement that West Indies is coming fully prepared, and while Pakistan team is not as prepared as them, they are still looking to complete a 3-0 clean sweep to improve their position in the ICC World Cup Super League points table.

Talking about West Indies team, they are coming into the tournament with a change in leadership, with Nicholas Pooran assuming the duties from Kieron Pollard, who has announced his retirement.

They are also coming into the series having registered a 3-0 clean sweep in the ODI series against Netherlands.
