What transpired between Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj, Virat Kohli and Bangladesh batsman Litton Das in the 1st Test match in Chattogram was a massive talking point of the 2nd day of play.
The day’s play began where Team India left-off. However, Bangladesh managed to get the wicket of Shreyas Iyer early on. But then on, Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav stitched a brilliant partnership that helped India reach 404 runs.
Bangladesh were left crumble under pressure from the brilliant bowling performance from the Indian team. At the end of Day’s play, Bangladesh lost 8 wickets and scored only 133 runs.
For India, Kuldeep Yadav picked 4 wickets on his return to Test cricket for India. Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav were on target as well with the former taking 3 wickets and 1 for Umesh Yadav.
However, the most talking point about the day’s play was when Siraj and Litton Das was sharing some words and then the next ball, Siraj bowled Das. Thereafter, Virat Kohli and Siraj gave him a ear send-off.
Meanwhile, after the end of Day’s play, Siraj revealed what really transpired between him and Litton Das before he got his wicket. He told to the media that he basically just told him to play sensibly.
“I just told Liton Das to play sensibly, because it’s not a T20 match,” said Siraj. As of end of Day 2’s play, Bangladesh is still trailing India by 271 runs with Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Ebadot Hossain on the crease.
