At the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, the 45th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is underway between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
The toss was won by MS Dhoni, who opted to bowl first on a spin-friendly pitch. The CSK bowlers performed exceptionally well, justifying Dhoni’s decision.
The packed house in Lucknow witnessed a spin attack that dominated the proceedings from the beginning. The bowlers, including Moeen Ali, Maheesh Theekshana, and Ravindra Jadeja, were outstanding, causing problems for the LSG batsmen.
During the first 10 overs of the match, the home team lost half of their side, with Marcus Stoinis’ dismissal by Ravindra Jadeja being the most notable.
On the last ball of the seventh over, Jadeja delivered a fantastic ball that bowled Stoinis, leaving him stunned. The delivery was full and turned sharply after pitching on the leg, hitting the off stump and leaving Stoinis completely bewildered.
