A terrific cricketer and an inspiring human being, Steyn was wished by many as he announced the decision. Steyn’s decision came without a hint and hence, it was a shock for his fans. Dale Steyn Announces Retirement

One of the best pacers of this era, Steyn picked 439, 196 and 64 wickets in 93 Tests, 125 ODIs and 47 T20Is respectively. He also had a decent franchise career as he represented some top teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

After the break of this century, Steyn was one of the pacers who revolutionized pace bowling in the red-ball format. He was even at the top of ICC’s charts for a very long time. However, after injuries started troubling him, Steyn lost his way and struggled to make a comeback. In the last few years, Steyn’s time with South Africa was limited.

Congrats on a great career mate and all the best for the future.” It was nice to notice that two top bowlers of this generation also enjoy a good relationship off the field, although they have been fierce competitors on it. Meanwhile, there is also talk going around Anderson himself would contemplate retirement soon.
