“I’ve never seen this before”- Batter hits wicket-keeper helmet and ball lands in fielder’s hand leaving commentators shocked

The European Cricket Series gained a lot of popularity during the lockdown period. Sponsored by Dream11 and its streaming platform FanCode, ECS T10 is played across Europe, with many Asian and European cricketers participating in the tournament. The format is T10 and clubs from across Europe participate in the competition. The top teams then qualify for an annual competition named the ECS Champions T10 competition. The bat and ball sport has got a lot of viewership in new countries because of this T10 league.

Currently, the ECS T10 competition is underway in Malta, and during one of the matches in the T10 league, the fans witnessed a bizarre dismissal. The video of that dismissal has gone viral on the internet after it was shared by European Cricket on their official Twitter account.

In that video of the dismissal, the batter can be seen playing a shot behind the wicket which was aimed to clear the boundary. However, the ball hit straight hard on the helmet worn by the wicket-keeper behind the stumps and it landed into the hands of the fielder standing near the thirdman region. The bizarre ball that stunned even the commentators

Commentators who were in the commentary box for this ECS T10 match mentioned on air that they had never seen a delivery like that which first hit the wicket-keeper hard on his helmet and then was caught by another fielder. European Cricket proudly wrote that things like that only happen in the ECS T10 competitions.

“NO! YOU HAVEN’T SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE.” European Cricket captioned the video that has now received more than 112,000 views on the Twitter platform.
