Here’s why David Warner has been ruled out of the 2nd Test in Delhi after batting in the 1st inning

After consecutive failures in the first 3 innings of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 vs India, Australian cricket team’s opening batsman David Warner has been ruled out of the 2nd Test in Delhi.

The 2nd match of the 4 match Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 is currently being played in Delhi. Team India is leading the series after winning the first match of the series easily in Nagpur.

It was Australia captain Pat Cummins who won the toss and opted to bat first. Australia started off well with Usman Khawaja giving Australia a good start.

But then, Mohammed Shami drew the 1st wicket of Warner. Khawaja continued his inning and went on to score 81 runs.

But then there on onwards, Australia kept on losing wickets. Peter Handscomb scored 72 runs late on in the inning to lead Australia to 263 runs, they were all out before the end of Day’s play. Team India ended the day’s play after scoring 23 runs in their 1st inning.

Meanwhile, big news at the start of Day 2’s play is that David Warner has been ruled out of the 2nd Test after was dismissed cheaply in the 1st inning.

Actually Warner was hit on his helmet during his batting and as a precaution, he has been subbed out as a concussion substitute with Matt Renshaw coming in as his replacement.
