“They seem to be doing lot of talking” – Ben Stokes gives befitting reply to Proteas skipper Dean Elgar on his BazBall comments

England and South Africa will witness the start of a 3-match Test series from August 17, the first match of which will be played at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground. Ever since the captaincy of the England Test team has been handed over to Ben Stokes, after that the team has got a different thinking on the field and in this the new head coach of the Test team, Brendon McCullum, is also having a big hand. Due to which his strategy has been named as Bazball.

Due to this, before the start of the Test series, the captain of the visiting team, Dean Elgar, also tried to reduce it a little through his statement. Elgar’s statement can clearly be said to be part of a mind game, in which he is not undermining the English team but he is definitely attacking them through this Bazball strategy.

According to Elgar, the fast bowling attack of the South African team will not allow this Bazball strategy to succeed at all. But now, England Test team captain Ben Stokes has responded to this statement in his own style before the start of the first match, in which according to him his team will focus on giving their best, which will automatically calm the opposition.

In a statement published in India Today by England Test team captain Ben Stokes, he said that the opposition team is focusing on making too many statements at the moment, but they just want to focus on their game and strategy on the field.

“The opposition seem to be doing a lot of the talking at the moment about it. We just concentrate on what we do,” Stokes said. “We’ve got a style of play, they’ve got a style of play. At the end of the day, it’s bat against ball and whoever plays best over a Test match is most likely to win,” he further said.

Stokes further said that he is very happy that Dean and his team are saying that on one hand they are not interested in it at all and on the other side are also talking about it.
