Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Islamabad United and English opening batsman Alex Hales has decided to pull out of the remainder of the Pakistan Super League 2022 season.
The Pakistan’s premier T20 league, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 is currently ongoing in Pakistan, where currently teams are all playing the 2nd round of the competition in Lahore.
As of writing this article on the 15th of February, a total of 21 matches of the tournament has been played and it is reaching its final stages, with the final match of the tournament scheduled to take place on the 27th February.
And as the tournament is coming to its closing stages, one of the contenders of the tournament, Islamabad United have suffered a huge blow as English batsman Alex Hales has decided to reportedly pull out of the tournament.
A report on cricketpakistan website, a Pakistani cricket website, states that Hales has made the decision to pull out of the tournament due to personal reasons.
Hales so far has enjoyed a great campaign in the Pakistan Super League 2022 playing for the Islamabad United, having scored 255 runs from 7 matches in the tournament, and is currently the fifth highest run scorer in the tournament.

As a result of which, Indian Premeir League (IPL) side Kolkata Knight Riders have signed the English opening batsman for the upcoming IPL 2022 during the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, held on the 12th and the 13th of February in Bengaluru.
