Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has given a big response to fan favourite batsman Sanju Samson and his place in the Playing XI. Chopra said that Sanju Samson must get a chance to play in the last match of the ODI series against New Zealand.
According to Chopra, if Samson is not included in the playing XI even in the third ODI, then the management will have to face a lot of criticism.
Sanju Samson got a chance in the first match of the ODI series being played against New Zealand, in which he scored 36 runs in 38 balls. Meanwhile, he shared a 94-runs partnership with Shreyas Iyer (80).
Despite this, however, he was not included in the playing XI for the second ODI. In such a situation, the Indian team management was severely criticized. Several former players also raised questions on the team selection.
According to Aakash Chopra, if Samson does not get a chance to play in the third ODI, then people will once again criticize them. During a conversation on his YouTube channel, he said, “Give Kuldeep Yadav a match. Definitely feed Umran Malik. Feed Deepak Hooda too but try to feed Sanju Samson as well. If you don’t play Sanju Samson tomorrow, then be ready to face criticism.”
Let us tell you that India is currently trailing 1-0 in the ODI series. The last match of the series will be played on 30th November, i.e. tomorrow. Now it will be interesting to see whether Sanju gets a chance in the team in the last ODI. The second ODI of the series was washed out due to rain and due to which the Indian team could not get a chance to make a comeback.
