While the Indian team is currently away in Australia playing in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022. The preparations are already on for India’s next assignment as the Men in Blue is set to travel to New Zealand for a 3 match each limited overs series.
Team India is currently in Australia playing the T20 World Cup 2022 where they are doing really well, except for the last match against South Africa, and looks to set to make it to the semi-finals this year.
However, just like last year, Team India will be playing New Zealand in a limited overs series. Last year, New Zealand played against India in India, however, this it will be the vice-versa as India will travel to New Zealand.
With the World Cup final to be played on the 13th of November, Team India is set to rest some important members of the team such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. And in their absence, Hardik Pandya will be Team India’s captain for series while Rishabh Pant will be working as his deputy.
While Twitterati greeted the idea of having Hardik as the captain for series, some fans are not happy that Rohit Sharma and the man in form Virat Kohli will be resting for the series. Also fans mocked KL Rahul as he has been rested for the series despite not having any major contribution in the World Cup as of writing this.
