Shubman Gill

The young Indian batsman Shubman Gill, who is now already become a superstar in India, he made his debut in the year 2020 in the 2nd match of the series at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. He scored 45 runs in his debut inning and remained not out for 35 runs in the 2nd inning. Team India won that match by 8 wickets.

Mohammed Siraj

The Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj has already a hit and is already considered at the same level as Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami. Siraj recently became the number 1 ODI bowler. He also made his debut in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in that same series, also in the same match, 2nd Test at the MCG. He bowled brilliantly and took a brace in the 1st inning and 3 wickets in the 2nd inning.

Navdeep Saini

Another pacer who made his debut in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-2021 season is Delhi’s Navdeep Saini. Saini has failed to replicate Siraj in his career so far. He made his debut in the 3rd Test of the series and took 2 wickets each in both the innings, however the match at the Sydney Cricket Ground ended on a draw.

T Natarajan

Team India had been lacking a proper quality left-arm pacer after the likes of Ashish Nehra retired from the game. Natarajan became the latest left-arm pacer to play for India. He made his entry into the Indian Test side after impressing in the limited overs format. He made his Test debut in the decisive 4th Test of the series. He was a instant hit with 3 wickets in the 1st inning, but failed to replicate that in the 2nd inning. India won the match to seal the series as well. However, due to fitness issues, Natarajan has been out of the team.

Washington Sundar

All-rounder Washington Sundar was one of the biggest find of the series. The all-rounder also made his debut in the decisive match of the series. He took 3 wickets in the 1st inning with the ball and then scored 62 runs with the bat. He bagged another wicket in the 2nd inning and scored 22 runs. Since then, Sundar has further improved his game and has become an even better cricketer.
