Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant is a big part of the Indian cricket team’s setup. The left-hand batsman from Delhi has a major role in the Indian team and has also captained the team in several occasions.
Rishabh Pant have so far had a career full of ups and down. Pant was criticised a lot during the early phases of his career as he wasn’t really able to take the opportunity with both hands and failed to deliver big performance that the fans demanded from him as a replacement of MS Dhoni.
Pant made his Team India debut with a T20I match against England in 2017. He made his Test and ODI debut the following year against England and West Indies. From being a hero once with the U19 team, Pant today has gone on to become an important member of the Indian team.
However, not many players have been as lucky as Pant. The same year that Pant made his debut, Team India tried out few other players but they couldn’t establish themselves.

Prithvi Shaw
Right-hand explosive batsman and young gun Prithvi Shaw had made huge headline after leading the Indian U19 team to the U19 World Cup in 2018. He made his Test debut for India the same year against West Indies and went on to score heaps of runs in his first couple of matches. However, as months progressed, Shaw failed to keep himself fit and was also banned by the BCCI in the middle and today he is nowhere near the Indian team.
Siddharth Kaul
Siddharth Kaul made a huge name with his performance in the IPL and was handed his debut for the Indian team in the year 2018 against England. He has so far played only 3 ODI matches for India and failed to take any wickets in those. He never made it to the Indian team again after that.
Khaleel Ahmed
Left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed was picked into the team with a lot of expectations. India has been struggling a quality left-arm quick bowler and Khaleel Ahmed was doing really well in domestic cricket. He made his ODI debut in 2018 against Hong Kong. He has so far played a total of 11 matches and has taken 15 wickets but has not played for India since 2019.
Parveez Rasool
Jammu and Kashmir cricketer Parveez Rasool was making the headline in the domestic cricket for Jammu and Kashmir. As a result, the off-spin bowler was called-up to the Indian team for his T20I debut against England in 2018. However, he played only one T20I match in his career and managed to take 1 wicket in that. He never played for India again.
