The 2010 U19 World Cup may not been a good one for the Indian team, but the competition did still gave India some really talented players, one of which is the current India vice-captain KL Rahul.
KL Rahul is a very important member of the Indian team squad and established himself as one of the best batsman of the generation, leading India from the front as the opening batsman.
He was named the Indian team’s vice-captain after Virat Kohli decided to step-down from his role and then vice-captain Rohit Sharma was promoted as captain. Rahul has even led the team in many occasions when Rohit Sharma was rested.
KL made his Team India debut in the year 2014 in the Test series against Australia. He then made his ODI and T20I debut in 2016. Rahul was part of the Indian U19 team participated in the 2010 U19 World Cup under the captaincy of Ashok Menaria.

Sandeep Singh
Sandeep Singh is the first name in our list. While Sandeep may not be a star Indian player, he was very talented and has utilised it really well in the domestic cricket. He though played 2 T20I matches, he could just take only 1 wicket and was not given further opportunities. However, he has proven his metal in the domestic circuit and in the IPL.
Jaydev Unadkat
Jaydev Unadkat, the Saurashtra pacer was touted as India’s next best left-arm pace bowler, however, he couldn’t catch the opportunity with both hands when he got opportunity to play for the Indian team. Unadkat has represented India in all three formats of the game, but couldn’t make an impact. He played only 1 Test match and couldn’t take a wicket. He has 8 wickets from 7 matches and 14 wickets from 10 T20I matches.
Harshal Patel
The Haryana medium pace bowler Harshal Patel has really broken into the Indian team after his terrific outing in the IPL for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He made his T20I debut in 2021 and has thus far played 17 T20I matches and has taken 23 wickets. He is in the fray for a spot in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2022.
Mayank Agarwal
Karnataka’s right-hand batsman Mayank Agarwal is a established Indian cricket team’s Test opening batsman. He has been outstanding for the Indian team in the red ball competition. He made his debut in the year 2018 against Australia and has represented the country in ODIs.
Thus far, Mayank has played a total of 21 Test matches and has scored 1488 runs at an average of 41.3. He has also played 5 ODIs but hasn’t been successful in the format.
