Sachin Tendulkar took his first ODI wicket at the age 17 years and 224 days. He is the youngest Indian bowler to do so. Roshan Mahanama of Sri Lanka was Sachin Tendulkar’s first victim with his ball. Sachin Tendulkar took this wicket on 5 December 1990. He also scored 53 runs in 41 balls in that match.

Saved 6 runs or less in the last over

Sachin Tendulkar is the only bowler to save six runs in the last over of an ODI. Twice he troubled the opposition team for six or less runs and did not allow runs. In 1993, he saved six runs against South Africa. After that against Australia, he did such a feat for the second time in the last over by taking the last wicket on the first ball.

Indian spin bowler with most wickets in an Asia Cup event

Sachin Tendulkar took a total of twelve wickets in the 2004 Asia Cup. He is the first Indian spinner and second bowler to do so (the first bowler is Irfan Pathan). Sachin Tendulkar took 12 wickets in six matches. He took at least one wicket every time in five innings. Apart from this, he also scored 281 runs in that Asia Cup.
