2 Teams who will play their home matches at different venues in IPL 2023

We are just about a months duration away now from the big Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season to kickoff with the defending champions Gujarat Titans taking on 2nd most successful team in the competition, Chennai Super Kings.

The Indian Premier League is one of the most watched sports league in the world. Just a few days back, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the fixtures for the big Gala event starting from the 31st of March.

Just like the previous, the IPL 2022, the 10 teams that are set to participate in the competition, have been divided into 2 groups and will follow the same format where the teams from the same group will play against each other twice while they will also play the opposite group’s teams only once except for the team mirroring the same place in the other group.

For an example, the team number 1 from Group A will play all the Group B teams once but will play twice against the team number 1 in Group B.

The IPL also returns to home and away fixtures after the hiatus in the last 3 year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Teams are excited to be back at home. However, there are still 2 teams who will play IPL in 2 different venues, let’s have a look.

Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings is one the founding members of the IPL as the Kings XI Punjab who were renamed to its current form. However, despite its long existence, the team have not won the IPL yet and would look to turn the fortunes around this time. They will play in 2 different venues in IPL 2023, at their traditional venue in Mohali while they will also play 2 matches at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.
