During the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), an amusing exchange took place between DC captain David Warner and CSK all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
After Chennai Super Kings set an imposing target of 223 runs, CSK made an early breakthrough by dismissing Prithvi Shaw for just 5 runs.
However, Warner showcased his batting prowess and started to find his rhythm by playing some remarkable shots at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. In the fifth over, facing Deepak Chahar, Warner struck the first two balls for ten runs. In the following delivery, he mistimed a drive towards Ajinkya Rahane.
In a playful gesture, Warner moved out of his crease, teasing the Mumbai batsman. However, as the throw came in, Warner quickly rushed back into his crease. Seeing Ravindra Jadeja threatening to throw the ball, Warner imitated the Indian all-rounder’s sword celebration by swinging his bat in a light-hearted manner.
