The ongoing 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was neither good nor bad for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), as the franchise did not start the season well, but they impressed everyone by turning the form middle stage of the competition, but are struggling towards the end of the season, which is hurting their aspirations for top 4 finish.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)’s return to form had raised hopes in the minds of the fans that the franchise would do some good in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, but unfortunately things remain the same.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) suffered a 54-run defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on the 14th of May, and their dreams of making the IPL 2022 playoffs have almost been shattered with the crushing defeat.

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketers Wasim Jaffer and Mohammad Azharuddin have discussed the form and performance of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the ongoing IPL 2022.

The franchise is currently eighth on the points table with ten points, and if they win their upcoming two matches – against Mumbai Indians (MI) on 17 May and Punjab Kings (PBKS) on 22 May, they could still make it to the playoffs, however, have to be dependent on the other results.

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer has some reasons as to why the 2016 IPL Champions are struggling.

Wasim Jaffer talking on the show ‘Not Just Cricket’ presented by Sky247.net on CricTracker said the unavailability of T Natarajan and Washington Sundar due to injury issues at the crucial stage of the tournament has left the team hanging and that the injuries to both the players have hurt the team a lot.

He also added that Kane Williamson’s form has not been good and the team has to struggle for it. He continued that it isn’t fitting to see a big player like him not scoring runs.
