Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Virat Kohli stunned everyone when he came out for the toss vs Punjab Kings in their previous Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match vs the Punjab Kings.
Virat Kohli stepped down as the captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise at the end of the IPL 2021 season citing workload management.
And since IPL 2022, it has been South African batter Faf du Plessis who has been the captain of the team.
But, in the IPL 2023 match vs Punjab Kings, RCB stunned everyone when Virat Kohli came out for the toss and led the team in the match against Punjab Kings.
While everyone thought that it would be a one off thing, but, in their IPL 2023 match vs Rajasthan Royals today, Virat Kohli is once again leading RCB. Note that Faf du Plessis has a little bit of ankle issue, because of which he is unable to field, which is why he is only batting and gets subbed off during fielding.
Now the question is will Virat Kohli continue to lead the team for the entire IPL 2023. Kohli answered the same during today’s toss vs Rajasthan Royals. He said that he received call from management that he will have to continue captain the side for couple more games, however didn’t mention a specific number.
