Rishabh Pant has cemented himself as one of the top cricketers in India with his phenomenal performances in matches away from home. The left-handed batter has scored centuries in Test matches hosted by England, Australia and South Africa, a feat that has not been achieved by any Asian wicket-keeper before. Pant recently became the first Asian wicket-keeper batter to score a ton in a Test match against the South African cricket team away from home.

His century received everyone’s attention because he played a match-changing innings. The other 10 Indian batters managed only 70 runs in that innings at the Newlands ground in Cape Town, whereas Pant smashed an unbeaten 100. Extras contributed 28 runs as the Indian cricket team ended with a 198-run total in the second innings.

After that performance, many former cricketers have recommended Pant’s name for Test captaincy because Virat Kohli has stepped down as the captain of the Indian Test cricket team also. Yuvraj Singh highlighted how the wicket-keeper batter reads the game well. Sunil Gavaskar and Suresh Raina also feel Pant is the right man to lead the Indian Test cricket team.

An Instagram user recently asked Urvashi Rautela on her latest Instagram post if she watched the Test hundred scored by Rishabh against South Africa. She replied to him as follows:

Oh! U mean (pant emoji) ya I’ve seen that cuz everyone wears it. Also Rs 100 I’ve seen inside it”.
