Prithvi Shaw is in the headlines once again after his destructive inning against Kolkata Knight Riders as the Delhi opener scored another fifty in his IPL 2022 campaign.
Delhi Capitals (DC) is facing off Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the match number 19th of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season.
Delhi Capitals got off to a great start as the opening duo of David Warner and Prithvi Shaw gave the Delhi side a firing start, scoring over 60 runs in the powerplay.
And the biggest contribution of the two in that was from India’s young opening batsman Prithvi Shaw, who scored his 2nd fifty of his IPL 2022 campaign, scoring 51 runs from 29 balls before was dismissed by Varun Chakravarthy.
It was a destructive inning from Shaw against the bowling unit that has been the best so far in the IPL 2022, taking on purple cap holder Umesh Yadav, Rashik Salam, and even the spin duo fo Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy.
Shaw is known for his quickfiring start to the inning and that’s what he did today as well against the Kolkata side. But he was also dismissed soon after completing his fifty after he failed to read Chakravarthy’s ball, which resulted in him getting clean-bowled, but Delhi has got off to a great start.
Shaw has good track-record against KKR, and Twitter also knew that as they heaped praise on the youngster’s batting.
