After dominating the 1st day of 1st Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 in Nagpur, the game has changed its head upside down as India is struggling to cope with the Australian debutant spinner Todd Murphy.
The Indian cricket team dominated the outing in day 1 of the 1st match of the 4 match series vs Australia.
After dismissing the Aussies for the score of 177 runs by a little more than 2 sessions, the Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s brilliant fifty guided India to 77 runs for the loss of KL Rahul’s wicket.
Day 2 started well for the Indian team. But after nightwatchman Ravichandran Ashwin was dismissed, both Cheteshwar Pujara failed to settle in the match. Pujara scored only 7 runs.
Virat Kohli was dismissed for 12 runs from 26 balls just after the game resumed after lunch. While Virat Kohli has somewhat regained his form in white ball format, he still continues to struggle in red ball cricket.
The last Virat Kohli century is still from that 2019 series vs Bangladesh after which he had not scored a single century till 2022. After Kohli’s failure again, a part of Indian cricket fans were not happy and is disappointed with Kohli’s constant failures.
