After struggling throughout the day 1’s play, whether with the bat or with the ball, the Indian cricket team have struck early against Australian team on Day 2 to dismiss the Aussies for 197 runs after they resumed their inning from their overnight score of 156 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
Team India went into the match having already won the previous two matches of the four match series. India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first. Despite a decent start, the Australian spinners proved to be too good for Indian batter as India were all-out for 109 runs.
Australia lost the wicket of Travis Head early on in the match, but Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne ensured a comeback for the Aussies. They ended the day 1’s play on 156 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the end.
The day 2 began quite for both the teams. But, after the first hour and minutes after, the Indian bowlers, particularly the duo of Umesh Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin wreck havoc. From being 186 for 4 at one stage, Australia lost 6 wickets in quick succession and they scored only 11 runs thereafter and reached 197 total, taking a lead of 88 runs after the 1st inning.
