“Don’t compare Hasaranga and Chahal” – Twitter reacts to Wanindu Hasaranga leading RCB to victory with 5-fer against SRH

He was criticised a lot initially, but Sri Lanka and Royal Challengers Bangalore’s spin bowler Wanindu Hasaranga proved all doubters wrong by taking 5 wicket haul against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

It was the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) facing off the Kane Williamson led Sunrisers Hyderabad in the match number 54 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

Bangalore lost the wicket of Virat Kohli early on after decided to bat first winning the toss. But then, a solid 100 plus partnership between Faf du Plessis and Rajat Patidar brought RCB back in the match.

While Faf scored 73 runs, cameos from Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik helped them put a target of 193 runs on the board.

SRH lost 2 early wickets of Kane Williamson and Abhishek Sharma in the first over of the match. But, Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram somehow took control of the inning.

But then, after Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran departed, there was a major collapse of inning, and the main man behind that was Wanindu Hasaranga.

From being 104-5, SRH were down to 9 wickets for 14 runs in just a blink of a eye. And finally, they were dismissed for 125 runs, giving RCB a 67 runs win.

After that, Bangalore fans had a sight of relief and praised Wanindu Hasaranga for bowling.
