After losing 8 wickets in the first session of the 3rd Test vs Australia, the Indian cricket team’s inning was bundled out for just a little after lunch break.
Australian bowlers used the condition of the Indore pitch really well to bowl out the Indian team for just 109 runs. India batted a total of 33 overs and Virat Kohli was the highest run scorer for India having scored 22 runs.
It was Team India captain Rohit Sharma who won the toss and opted to bat first. He opened the inning alongside Shubman Gill, who replaced the struggling KL Rahul in the team.
Both the gave India a good start against the pacers, but once the spinners came, Indian batters were failing to stay on the crease for a moment. Sharma was dismissed for 12 runs while Shubman scored 21 runs.
Pujara scored 1 run and Shreyas Iyer was dismissed for a duck. Jadeja who was promoted in the batting order, also couldn’t do much and was dismissed for only 4 runs.
Srikar Bharat, who formed a decent partnership with Virat Kohli, was also dismissed for 17 runs. Axar Patel remained not out for 12 runs while Umesh Yadav flexed his muscles and smash the Aussie bowlers for 2 massive Sixes and a boundary.
But he was also dismissed for 17 runs from 13 balls while Siraj was also dismissed for duck. All that led to Team India being only able to put their 4th lowest Test score on the board, that too in a little more than a session time.
Meanwhile, people are saying that KL Rahul must be happy that he didn’t had to play on this pitch or else his performance could have become even more worse after he was dropped for his continuous failures. After this batting performance from the Indian team, see how Twitterati reacted to it.
