The 3rd match of the T20 International series between Indian cricket team and New Zealand cricket team ended in a tie after the team India’s inning was midway interrupted due to rain.
Batting first, New Zealand saw a collapse lead them from once 146-4 to 160 runs all out in 20 overs. Chasing the target, Team India’s top-order failed to contribute lot, but a quickfire inning from Hardik Pandya took India to 75, the par score required for Team India to atleast draw the match.
As a result of a draw, India won the 3 match series 1-0. While Mohammed Siraj was named the Man of the Match for taking 4 wickets for 17 runs, Suryakumar Yadav was named Player of the Series for scoring a century in the first match and then only 13 runs in today’s match.
However, the fans this time seemed unhappy with the decision and their opinion is that Siraj should have been named the Player of the Series instead, as he also took 2 wickets in the previous and bowler brilliantly.
