While the Indian cricket team is currently busy in the ongoing T20I series vs New Zealand, the upcoming Test series vs Australia though holds the upper most priority.
Indian cricket team and Australian cricket team will play a 4 match Test series known as the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, that begins from the 9th of February.
Meanwhile, after impressing in the T20 format of the game, Suryakumar Yadav has found his way into the Indian Test team as well. He is likely to make his debut in the series as well.
On that basis, former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina told the media that Suryakumar Yadav is a Mumbai player and thus he very well knows how to play red ball. He predicted him to make loads of centuries and double centuries in his Test career.
However, the fans still Suryakumar Yadav should play only the shorter format of the game as playing in multiple format could hinder his performance in the short format as well.
Suryakumar Yadav is yet to replicate his T20I performance in the One Day format of the game and now he is gonna play the format that truly tests the quality of a player.
Meanwhile, Raina statement that Suryakumar is a Mumbai player and knows how to play red ball didn’t go down well with the fans and Twitterati have over it.
Suresh Raina said, "Suryakumar Yadav is a Mumbai player, and he knows how to play red-ball cricket. He will score multiple 100s and then 200s in Tests".

SKY somehow doesn’t look like a long term bet, hope I am wrong but probably he is gonna have short career, that too in T20 only. He doesn’t have age at his side, can’t bowl and he is average fielder, so once he will lose his T20 touch, he won’t be much useful.

Anyway there is no place for him in the eleven as Shreyas cemented his place for now.

This tweet would make a lot more sense SKY's name was replaced with Sarfaraz. https://t.co/nTADNc8GSL
