After having already retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 after winning the first 2 matches of the 4 match series, the 3rd match of the series commences on the 1st of March, i.e. tomorrow.
Despite expecting a heavy competition from the Australian cricket team, the Indian cricket team have so far managed to get the better of the Australian side with both its pace and spin.
While the Indian team have performed at its top level, the same can’t be said for the Indian team’s opening batsman KL Rahul, who is currently going through the worst phase of his career and receiving criticism every now and then.
Rahul has scored only 20 runs in the 1st and 17 and 1 run in the 2nd Test. With his continuous bad performance he is under massive pressure, especially given the fact that young and talented Indian batsman Shubman Gill is currently warming the bench to accommodate him.
However, before the 3rd Test in Indore begins tomorrow, visuals from the Indian team’s practice sessions suggest that Shubman Gill is likely to replace Rahul as Gill has been seen training with captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid. Checkout how Twitterati reacted to the same.

I will pick KL. Everything has become tough for Australia. Let the KL's wicket be the only easy task for themππ
