Shahrukh Khan’s cameo today put a huge smile on owner Preity Zinta’s face, just like the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan does, as the batter finished off a thrilling match in favour of his team.
In the match number 21 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, the Punjab Kings defeated the Lucknow Super Giants in a last over thriller.
Lucknow, batting first, scored 159 runs with captain KL Rahul being the leading run scorer as he scored 74 runs.
Punjab Kings had a terrible start to the chase, losing their first 3 wickets in the powerplay itself. After the 4th wicket fell, Punjab built a good partnership between Sikandar Raza and Sam Curran.
However, from being once 5 wickets down for 112 runs, they kept on losing wickets in regular intervals and in the end, it all went to the last over.
However, Shahrukh Khan was there to turn the game to his side’s way as he played an important role of 23 runs in 10 balls.
