The inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is set to be player in March, but before that, the WPL Players Auction is currently ongoing and the set 1 of marquee players has come to an end.
Star Indian player Smriti Mandhana was the first name that came out of the bag and she is so far the biggest buy in the Auction as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) spent 3.4 crore on her to acquire her services.
After this, while star Indian batter Virat Kohli plays for the same team in the men’s IPL, now the star Indian batter Smriti Mandhana has also become a part of the team. With this though, fans are hoping that Mandhana don’t have a career like Kohli, who is yet to win the IPL with the franchise.
